Guided Kayak Tours

With AdvKayaker Kayak Tours, you wont be dropped off at the waters edge and told ‘see you in a few hours’.

Our guided kayak tours will take you to places where most visitors, and many locals don’t even know exist. I’ve always believed in quality over quantity, our kayak tours are smaller and therefore always kept at a personal level.

green sea turtle off mullet key florida during a night tour
Green Sea Turtle at night. Near Mullet Key FL. On this kayak trip, we were greeted by at least a dozen of these peaceful turtles. Shell lengths varied from 10-12 inches to at least 3 times that size. It was an incredible experience to be out paddling with them.

AdvKayaker’s guided kayak tours aren’t made up of large groups. We don’t do the floating school bus scene filled with strangers and smelly exhausts. No speakers blaring, nothing to scare or disturb the wildlife. No noise other than a paddle slapping the water.
What you see and hear from the AdvKayaker’s vantage point is nothing short of spectacular. Seeing and hearing the Manatee or Dolphin coming up for air, fish jumping within a few feet from you.
AdvKayaker wants you going home from your kayak paddle trying to find the words to describe your time out on the water. We’ve been there and done that. We’ve not been able to put many of the experiences into words either.
This is why we hope it’s a unique paddling experience for you as well.

Sometimes the best part of a kayak tour isn’t in a kayak at all. This little island isn’t but a 10 minute paddle from Ft Island Beach but it’s a nice place you can get to quickly and away from the masses. I often stop here when it’s just too soon to go in for the day. Shell Island, Crystal River FL.

Price:
AdvKayaker’s tour prices are quite affordable and our variety is far greater. We have paddle times and kayak destinations no one else even begins to offer. Let us know where you would like to visit, what you would like to see and lets go. The Rate Page will give you a better idea but we can also change things up a bit and customize your kayak tour. A leisurely paddle on a lake, an all day salt water paddle trying to lose sight of land. We can do that and more… or less if you wish.
AdvKayaker knows some pretty spectacular places and we never forget how to have a great time.

AdvKayakers guided kayak tours are as they say. ‘Out There.’

bottlenose dolphin crystal river guided kayak tour
Bottlenose Dolphin at the mouth of the Crystal River. I’ve been out with these guys 100 times plus. They are as curious as they are friendly. I’ve paddled to check them out and they’ve swam my way to check me out. I will never get tired of having these companions around. To see them just makes you smile.
guided sunset kayak tour crystal river florida
Sunset on the Salt River. Crystal River FL. Always beautiful and no two are ever the same. We have sunsets that are just full of color.

Where to kayak:
We have some great places to paddle on the Nature Coast of Florida. Lakes, meandering rivers… and of course my favorite, the Gulf shoreline.
It’s your choice though and once you choose, you tell me what direction and we’ll be off. If you need some help in deciding, I’ll have an idea or two having paddled the area extensively over the years. AdvKayaker is very familiar with the area having been here for nearly 4 decades.

When to paddle:
Anytime really conditions permitting. Putting in an hour or two before sunset has always been a favorite time for me. A bit of daylight, a beautiful sunset and a twilight paddle back to shore. That said, a sunrise is also nice. It’s always a good time to get out and paddle. Once again, the choice is all yours.
Full moon paddles are an experience. Full moon, clear evening… it’s just spectacular!

Why do we go:
Because Mother Nature is beautiful and seeing her up close in a kayak is a trip.
No two adventures are ever the same. Always different wildlife and the views are fantastic. We’ll help you just wander away time. All great stuff!

What You Bring:
You should bring water and preferably a good attitude. I also recommend a camera and a great memory. Other items are handy but lets figure where we’re going first as needs can change greatly with the area paddled.

What I Bring:
PFD’s (flotation devices), paddles, VHF marine radio, tow rope, all kinds of really handy items including the kayaks. I provide everything that’s needed for a fun and safe trip including a fair amount of knowledge of the area we’ll be paddling around in.

What Neither of Us Bring:
Current events, the rat race and any bad vibes. Yes, let those stay somewhere else far far away please. Radio’s, absolutely no way. AdvKayaker paddle tours are meant to be escapes from all that.
To show you what I experience on my solo paddles… it’s the meaning behind all of this. To have you back on shore safely, unable to describe the nature and the peace you experienced is my only goal.

Special Needs:
Please, give me a ring if you have special needs or requests. I’m here to help you any possible way I can.

If you would like to Contact AdvKayaker for an adventure into the fun, please drop us a line at 352-287-2606 We’re on EST here, make it during a reasonable hour please. = )

American Alligator on the Withlacoochee River, Inglis FL. When people like me say that they’re more afraid of you than you are of them, please believe us. He was the largest I’ve seen in quite a long time. Easily 10 feet
The greatest danger to conservation is the fear of nature.
